MARK PHILP

Mark has more than 20 years’ experience in practice and joined Carson And Partners in 2012. Mark studied at the EPFL Lausanne Switzerland and the Mackintosh School of Architecture at Glasgow School of Art and graduated in 1999.

Mark has directed diverse projects including the regeneration of historic buildings, commercial, education, pharmaceutical and healthcare buildings as well as urban design and master-planning throughout the UK. More specifically he has substantial experience of the design and implementation of large scale urban regeneration projects incorporating challenging and award winning buildings. He brings an innovative approach grounded in a depth of understanding of design and the construction process. He has worked with Wilson Bennett and Jeffrey Architects and Engineers, Glasgow; ADAM(Amec), Stratford upon Avon; McKeown Alexander/JM Architects Glasgow; Cooper Cromar Architects Glasgow; Ryder/Gordon Murray Architects and GM+AD Architects Glasgow, where he was a Project Director.

Projects include Lancefield Quay Phase 1 Residential development; Waterfront regeneration proposals, Dumbarton; Glasgow Harbour Phase 1 and the award winning phase 2; Anderston Quay Masterplan, office and residential proposals, Glasgow; Pfizer Masterplan and Laboratories, Sandwich, Kent; Dumbarton Road, Glasgow and All saints, Norwich student residences. He is also responsible for the award winning design of the Scottish Government Crime Campus project, leading this major public building from inception through delivery.
