RUAIRIDH MOIR

Ruairidh hails from the Isle of Lewis and worked in private practice across Scotland on a variety of project types and scales during his training. He graduated from the University of Strathclyde School of Architecture with a Master of Architecture degree (with distinction). Formal study was also undertaken at the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura del Vallès (ETSAV) in Barcelona, where he later returned to work for a period in the international practice of Miralles Tagliabue EMBT. Ruairidh joined Carson and Partners in May 2015.

Ruairidh previously acted as a student representative on RIAS council and, following full qualification, he was nationally elected back onto the Incorporation’s council. He is since involved on a seasonal, part time basis in the Strathclyde School’s programme as a design studio tutor in second year.

Outside of practice, Ruairidh has benefited from competition success for the first pilot rounds of the Scottish Scenic Routes initiative, ‘Sloc nan Sìtheanach’ is now constructed on the banks of Loch Lubnaig and ‘Na Crìochan’ has since been awarded a High Commendation for a site above Corgarff Castle with ‘Iodhlann’ shortlisted for the Devil’s Elbow.

Ruairidh is enthusiastic and eager to expand his competencies and interests in architecture and culture.
